This eight and a half inch covered crown is a rust / brown embellished fancy lace covered hat that is embroidered with silver and gold flowers and leaves.  The tri color feathers enhance this crown even more. Then to top that off; two rows of horse hair/crinoline and a single crinoline brim sets the entire design even steps higher.
